Aina Blankson LP's Dispute Resolution Group (DRG) represents the Firm's clients in Federal and State trial courts, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court including Administrative and Arbitral Tribunals and other dispute resolution proceedings.

We advise clients on the most effective way to manage disputes, seeking to prevent them before they arise and, when they do arise, to resolve them in a timely, cost-effective manner consistent with the clients' objectives. Accordingly, we take pride in our skills both in trying cases, where appropriate, and in taking creative approaches to resolving disputes when our clients' interests would best be served by avoiding trial.

The Dispute Resolution Group of Aina Blankson LP has carved a niche for itself also in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution by facilitating the establishment of the first Court-Connected ADR Center in Africa; The Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse (LMDC) in conjunction with the Negotiation & Conflict Management Group (NCMG). Litigation Department

Mediation & Arbitration Department



Most disputes never get to court, especially if the commercial viability, business goodwill and sometimes the relationship between the parties call for a quick, effective, fair and mutually beneficial resolution to the dispute. Some disputes already in court need to be settled out of court in the most effective manner. Our Dispute Resolution Team specializes in the crafting, arranging and facilitating of the most effective dispute resolution mechanisms.

The Department which is made up of a specialist team with experience in Mediation and Arbitration and a wide variety of innovative dispute resolution models that suit the peculiarities of the local business environment whilst conforming to the best international standards. The members of the Dispute Resolution Team have represented clients in international mediations and arbitrations throughout the world for many years. Our understanding of cultural differences enables us to work well with local counsel, whose role is central to moving a case through the international mediation and arbitration process. We have successfully represented clients in proceedings administered by many of the world's leading mediation and arbitration bodies, including: The Centre for Dispute Resolution (CEDR), The International Chamber of Commerce; The London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA); The American Arbitration Association and The International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes.
